Lord Sarfraz spoke in a fascinating session called "Islam and Capitalism" hosted by Muslims for Britain. The event was moderated by Rageh Omaar, and speakers included Benedikt Koehler, Dan Hannan, Saqib Bhatti MP and Lord Sarfraz.
The Islamic influence on modern day capitalism, protection of individual rights to property ownership, regulation and free markets were discussed in the context of Dr. Koehler's book on the subject. The influence of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on risk, international trade and charity was also discussed.
