Lord Sarfraz visited the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines (CTCRM) in Lympstone, as part of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme.
He attended a brief of the activities of CTCRM, observed commando training, and received updates from the Command Wing and Specialist Wing. He also visited the accommodation blocks and physical rehab centre.
During the visit, he observed the green beret presentation and pass-out parade of the 307 Troop, the King's Squad.
Following the visit, Lord Sarfraz said "The Commando Training Centre is one of the finest training establishments in the world. I have never come across such smart, strong and committed young men and women as the recruits of the Royal Marines."
